~PANTOMIME~
You finally snapped,
And let it go,
As we made our way back home.
But as I walked and took a stroll,
I realized our love took its toll
-on you and I,
And our lies.
Quickly fumbling,
Slowly mumbling,
‘I think it’s time to let you go.’
My heart certainly was thine,
From the beginning of time.
But yours, I never could call mine.
Although your love was pantomime,
I always hoped you’d spill to me,
Your deepest desire and fantasy.
But you scream inaudibly,
Words I can not comprehend.
You touch me invisibly,
With hands I feel not.
You desire me silently,
So I cannot reciprocate,
The longing that burns deep within.
So I shall leave
Without ever knowing;
How this story was to end.
As we depart,
Finally closing,
The chapter on what was not meant to be.
