~ABYSS~
I wish I could feel,
The difference between hot and cold.
As I touch coal,
And run my hands through the snow.
I realize I’ve forgotten how.
The burn of heat,
And bite of ice,
Somehow feel like holding stone.
I wish I could remember,
How to speak.
As my lips part,
And open wide.
I realize I’ve forgotten how.
Painting the air with different words,
No longer comes with ease.
I wish I could choose,
And not feel spiteful.
For between crossroads lies a gray fog,
Where everything stands still.
But I realize I’ve forgotten how.
What may seem wrong,
What may seem right,
Always leads to one end.
But if I touch you,
I might remember,
Who I was before.
Hug me gently,
As I fall,
Into the dark abyss.
Kiss me slowly,
And breathe new life,
into this empty soul.
